error retrieving emails

Sounds like there was a attachment in your email that isn’t supported by your WordPress.

I think I figured part of it out as a setting but now it doesn’t show html messages properly

I guess I would need to understand what you mean by “properly” screenshots of the original email and what it looks like after Postie imports it would help.

Remember that your theme has a lot to do with what your posts look like.

This is typical when trying to publish newsletters via Postie. The newsletter has it’s own set of very specific CSS which your theme does not have, so it doesn’t display correctly.

I’ve been working on an addon to help with this, but it is very complicated and I don’t have it working yet.

The only real option at this time is to have postie save them as draft posts then you would have to do a little editing to make them look good.
