    I have tried everything to make this plugin work, but no luck so far. I’m now trying to upload the higher res version of each file but get this error each time:

    BTW, I aso inserted this rewrite rule in .htaccess with no luck:

    RewriteRule ^files/(.+) wp-content/plugins/wp-retina-2x/wr2x_image.php?ms=true&file=$1 [L]

    Sorry for the very late reply. I was busy working on the very last version of the plugin, lot of fixes and improvements.

    Would you mind trying again? Please try the client-side first before experimenting with the server-side.

    That was so long ago, I’ve already moved on to a new theme, which is fully Retina compliant.

    Are we talking about the same thing? The theme generates the images for you and all?

    It’s a Retina-aware theme so it knows to responsively use my double-res images without having to rely on wp-retina-2x plug-ins or other hacks.

    Hey, my plugin is not a hack ?? Your website is using huge images for every single img in your website, that is a trick or a hack and the easiest way to make it works for Retina without taking in account performance nor normal users.

    But I would say that it is fine since you don’t have that many images anyway.

    You should go with the solution that works for you anyway ?? I just hope your will not change theme one day, it will be more difficult to upgrade to something different (or home-made), or even another Retina-aware theme that will use another kind of trick.

    So you know, there are more and more Retina-aware theme embedding my plugin.

    Oops didn’t know you were the plugin writer, my apologies! ?? It worked great on another site! I know I have large images, but no time to optimize. Thanks again for helping me out here, much appreciated!
