  • Hey there, @paourissi! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

This might be a SMTP-related issue! Installing a plugin like?WP Mail SMTP?and configuring your mail server will probably resolve the issue.

Please try that and let us know how it goes ??

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

I dont think its an SMTP as i already have this plugin installed. I also tried to deactivate and the error persists. The order gets shown in woocommerce even tho i get the error. Email also is SENT to customer (i wrote it wrongly in the original post).

    Hi @paourissi

Did you configure the SMTP plugin, or did you just install it? We’ve noticed that this error notice usually pops up when the WP mail function fails, preventing WooCommerce from sending mail notifications. Most people have been able to fix this issue simply by installing and configuring SMTP.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I have configured and installed it. The problem appeared out of nowhere 2 days ago without any new additions or anything (plugins, code e.t.c)

    Hello @paourissi,

Could you try disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce, temporarily switch your theme to Twenty Twenty-Four, and see if the problem continues?

Additionally, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear
    • Product lookup tables – Regenerate
    • Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate

Next, please clear your browser, and site cache and check again.

I hope this helps! Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance.

    Hi @paourissi,

Thanks for sharing an update on this. As you’ve already tried out different suggestions from my colleagues and nothing seems to work, I recommend running a conflict test and only having WooCommerce as the active plugin to see if the issue persists.

Disable all other plugins and make test purchases while activating one plugin at a time to see if you can find the conflicting plugin. Please find more details on how to run a conflict test from this guide.

Also, be sure to have a full site backup before proceeding further.

Let us know how it goes.
