Looks like the order goes to “processing”

But doesn’t go thru.

Just started after the latest update.

No payment processers, only thing allowed is cash on delivery.
1. Fill out delivery info
2. They hit the checkout button
3. Error processing checkout. Please try again.
4. It’s in the “ORDERS” tab showing –

Thank you for reaching out about this. As I understand, you are reporting that the “Error processing checkout. Please try again” message started appearing after updating to the latest WooCommerce version (7.3.0). Correct?

A picture is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes, therefore, could you also share a screenshot of the screen where the error message appears, please? https://snipboard.io/ is a good (online) tool of choice for sharing it here.

Additionally, I am inspecting the site at https://www.rootsofzen.com/, and upon reaching the Checkout, with one product to check out with, it appears that there are currently no payment methods available.

Linked here is a screenshot showcasing this.

I am checking the store’s System Status Report (SSR) and I cannot identify a payment gateway.

Could you clarify what payment methods are available and activated in the screen at WooCommerce > Settings > Payments, please?

Furthermore, can you please perform a conflict test on your site and let us know of your findings?

Here are some steps you can follow:

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to:
1. Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty theme.
2. Try to reproduce the problem: Check whether you still encounter the issue!
If the problem is resolved, it’s a theme conflict. If not, continue to the next steps.
1. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce. You can do this manually or use a plugin to help (see below for tools).
2. Try to reproduce the problem again. If the problem is resolved, it’s a plugin conflict. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, continue to the next step.
3. Reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

HI Pepe ! Thank you SO MUCH for the response

So I SHOULD have a cash on delivery option available.

We use etransfer in canada, which I just added in a “check” option as well, both are not working.
Not sure why it was showing NO payment method, thats not what it said yesterday, but once again showing cash on delivery, and added in the CHECK option.

But yes, BEFORE I UPDATED, I had no problems at all. everything checked out as it should,
emails were sent to both me and the client,
Cash on delivery and etransfer
No problems at all with check out.
This is a brand new issue.

Based on this screenshot, the error Error processing checkout. Please try again appears when the payment gateway used was etransfer.

Inspecting your site’s checkout page, I can see that this payment method was thru the built-in payment gateway Check Payments, correct?

I trust that you’ve filled up the necessary information based on this support documentation about Check Payments, correct?

Can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled and see if this works?

If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

If this did not resolve the issue, please provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
