Error Problemo?

Hi,

I’m also getting the following errors:

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘image_size’ in /wp-content/plugins/rss-image-feed/image-rss.php on line 133

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘image_size’ in /wp-content/plugins/rss-image-feed/image-rss.php on line 133

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘sitewide’ in /wp-content/plugins/rss-image-feed/image-rss.php on line 152

For some reason, it only shows these errors on my staging environment and not on my dev machine.

Where you able to solve this issue yet?

I couldn’t fix the issue so I just deleted this plugin and switched to this one:
Featured Images in RSS & Mailchimp Email

Same functionality, no php errors ??

Thanks for the info. I noticed that turning the plugin off and on removes the errors until I deploy the next version. So definitely switching to the other one.
Strange though since I’m using this one for over a year already, the first time that I’m having troubles.

Yeah not sure why the errors popped up for me either, it had been in use for a long time.

It’s possible the web host updated their server’s PHP version to a newer version than this plugin is compatible with. I noticed this plugin hasn’t been updated in 9 months, and there have been a lot of updates to WP since then… So I doubt it is a compatibility issue with other plugins, most likely incompatible with WP itself or the latest versions of PHP from 5.6 up.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, just get the plugin I switched to, it has an active community of over 20,000 users and the developers have released an update just 9 weeks ago, so it is being maintained ??

Indeed very weird! In my case I can tell that it has nothing to do with that since my servers & wp version did not change in the last couple of weeks.

I’m definitely installing the other one! Thanks for the info ??
