    Hey there, @antonios31!

Thank you for reaching out to us about this, and for providing helpful screenshots.

Most of Jetpack’s features, including Publicize, require a connection with WordPress.com via xmlrpc.php. We’re getting an unusual error when attempting to connect:

The Jetpack site is inaccessible or returned an error: transport error – HTTP status code was not 200 (401) [-32300]

You’d typically only see a 401 response when HTTP Authentication is enforced. Jetpack isn’t able to enter a user/password when prompted, and instead gets this response from your server.

You or a security plugin might be enforcing HTTP Auth via .htaccess directives.

Please let us know if you are not using any security plugins/.htaccess directives, or if we can help with anything else! ??

    Thanks i solved via htaccess

Are you talking about post by email?

If so, I’ve found that deleting the current post by email address and generating a new one sometimes helps fix a variety of symptoms that post by email can throw at you.

    also:

    1. disconnect from WordPress.com
    2. delete the plugin and reisntall

But sometimes it takes creating a new post by email address to get things moving.

    Hey there, @antonios31!

I just wanted to quickly follow up – it looks like we still can’t connect to your site completely; some features of Jetpack may not work as expected. You might still be restricting certain areas of your site.

However, it looks like you’ve successfully connected Publicize to several social media accounts.

We’ll be here if you run into any issues! ??

    Hey @antonios31

Looking at the Debug tool, it is showing a problem with the communication channel.

If you’re still having problems with what you’d like to achieve, please have a look through the Troubleshooting guide and then contact support.

    Thanks,
