    Hello there,

    why cant it just highlight the credit card text box instead of this popup?

    WooCommerce does not normally highlight the fields when they are not validating. The page should scroll up to the top where the error message is and remove the spinning icon.

    I suspect this is not happening on your site because of a conflict, most likely with your theme. Please, try a theme conflict test: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/
