I am no longer able to get into the plugin via Insights and get an error:

Error: Please upgrade to MonsterInsights Pro to use custom date ranges.

Am using the latest version of the plugin. I saw another post relating to this error but the original poster said it was fixed so not sure what i need to do to fix mine.

  • Same here. Going to uninstall this.

Yeah, this is getting pretty annoying. Combined with the general lack of features in the free version — I have to login to GA to see decent stats anyway — it may be time to move on.

Nice little monster logo, but otherwise… meh.

Same here. I’m glad it’s not only me. Message to Monsterinsights: Your free plugin is broken! I’m going to delete this plugin if it’s not fixed. I know it’s the free version but, if it’s a broken plugin and I delete it, is it going to encourage me to upgrade? I think not.

    Hi there,
The issue is actually users with either an incorrect timezone setting on their server, in the WordPress settings or in the GA profiles settings. If they don’t agree theres an issue that happens where the date range for the free users gets complicated (Pro users don’t have this issue because we use their purchase timezone as timezone of trust by default). We’re working on a general work around, but for most people who contact us through our lite support at MonsterInsights.com/lite-support/ we can sometimes determine for you which one is off and provide a fix in the form of a snippet-as-a-plugin.
