Error: please type your email address

    I’m attempting to manually install version 2.1.2.

    This follows several attempts to install blogs on my Web host using the Fantastico installer.

    The first Fantastico installation worked fine, but I was just testing the functionality. Thereafter, any installation seems to work, but I can’t login to any WordPress blog using the admin account used in the setup process, e.g., https://citizencrimewatch.org/blog.

    In my attempts to install WordPress manually, I get stuck on the second step where I enter the name of the blog and email address. When I click enter (or the “next” button … whichever it is), the installer posts “ERROR: please type your email address”.

    I can’t find any resolution for this issue in the WordPress support documentation or other messages.
