    Hello, @stevehale.

Have you changed your access key? Please, make sure that you are using the correct access key from your anti-spam dashboard here:
    https://cleantalk.org/my?cp_mode=antispam

Then click the button “Save Changes” again even if the key is correct and you don’t need to change anything:
? WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> “Show the access key” line —> delete everything in the field and paste your access key —> Save Changes.

    Did it help?

NO I have not changed the access key but to make sure I went to the dashboard and re-entered the key but the error is still the same.

In fact as I update each web site to WP 5.9 the error is happening.

There is some clash between WP5.9 and your plugin.

    Please advise

    Thank you, Steve.
I’ve checked your key in the CleanTalk Anti-Spam 5.170 on WordPress 5.9 and I didn’t spot any errors.
We are looking into the issue more closely. Please wait up to 3 business days.

As I say it is now happening on all sites we control that use your plugin after update to WP 5.9.

It is NOT just the site I gave you. Another example is https://pickingandpacking.co.uk

We are troubleshooting the issue and your keys works fine on our side.
Seems like the CleanTalk plugins can not connect to the CleanTalk Cloud from your hosting. Something is blocking them all of a sudden.
    Please, do the following:
? WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —> set the option “Use WordPress HTTP API” to “On” —> Save Changes.
    Did it help you?

    Serge

This error is now happening on all web sites that I have Cleantalk Anti Spam on.

It seems not to be a specific WP5.9 issue as the error is also occuring on sites with WP5.8.9 on them.

    It’s happening on:

    roundwoodhouse.com
    datasystemsmanagement.co.uk

    And more ……

    Please advise

    Regards

    The option:

    Use WordPress HTTP API

Is already switched on and the error is happening.

Can you give me the full links to your Cleantalk Cloud so I can put this in front of the hosting company for comment.

I know on another plugin a similar issue is happening on port 443, so is it an SSL issue??

    Thanks

We have detected that the plugin could connect CleanTalk servers. We suppose you do not see the issue now.

    Do you?

    No

    All is good so far.

My ISP will not accept responsibility but I am not sure on my side!

    Thanks
