• On the user profile page (https://mydomain.com/wp-admin/profile.php)

i have the following error messages at the bottom of the page:

Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in root/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 376

Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in root/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 379

I’ve tried reinstalling WP, but no luck.

this is preventing the “Update Profile” button from showing up at the bottom of the page.

  • Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to a default theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
