    Just installed the lastest update and unable to get back into site until I renamed plugin. Got the following error:

  • OK, we just pushed the updated copy of version 4.2.2 and it appears that the updates are working smoothly in our tests. Please do give this another go. And, when you do, I highly recommend doing so in a staging or development test environment just to be safe.

    Thanks so much for the heads up and for your patience while we worked on this!

    Everything went well with mine too, thanks again!

    I am still getting the same error even I updated through the zip file of version 4.2.2

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home3/kbioscie/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar1/src/Tribe/Main.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/php/54/usr/lib64:/usr/php/54/usr/share/pear’) in /home3/kbioscie/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar1/the-events-calendar.php on line 32

    @vbhatia,

    Sorry to hear you’re still hitting the issue here.

    It seems like the update has been working for others and this thread was marked as resolved, so would you please post a new thread so we can start with a fresh set of eyes?

    And, when you do, it would be awesome if you could try manually updating the plugin to see if that helps avoid any errors. Here are detailed steps for how to do that:

    Thanks!

    Yesterday I updated the free version on a local multi-site install as an update was notified. I received a message that the install failed. Today, although the site is still working, the Events page used on one of my sites has disappeared completely and the plugin no longer shows at all in WordPress Plugins.

    Is it safe to just re-install the plugin, will the database entries be preserved, and why has the request to update not been removed, given these problems?

    Help would be much appreciated.

    Hi @xhsx,

    Will you please open a new thread for this topic?

    Thanks!
    Geoff
