    You are only seeing that issue because your server is actually still running PHP 5.5 –

    Some servers allow you to change PHP Version via php.ini , but that won’t take effect if the php.ini on root folder don’t chnage. My guess is that if you check that you will see that the PHP version is still 5.5 and it is what your server is using.

    Please contact your server host and ask them to up the PHP version to 5.6 and the issue will be resolved and your server will be much more secure (PHP 5.5 has not been patched for 18 months and has known vulnerabilities).
