After updating with the last version of Jetpack, I get this error:

Warning: json_decode() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/_mu/michelguillou/pub/www.culture-numerique.fr/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/_inc/lib/admin-pages/class.jetpack-admin-page.php on line 163

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Thank you all for the reports! We’re working on getting this fixed, and will release a new version of Jetpack to solve that issue later today.

If you’d like, you can apply the following patch to your own installation of Jetpack right now to solve the issue:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/pull/5735/files

Another alternative would be to edit your site’s wp-config.php file, and make sure WP_DEBUG is set to false.

    I hope this helps.

I am seeing Jetpack no longer existing.
There was an error message to the effect that Jetpack had been disabled due a file missing error.
Attempts to reinstall it just give me a “folder already exists error”.

I assume it is part of the same problem as it happened after an update run yesterday.

I’m not excited about patching it myself so i’ll wait for the update.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

@hairy1travels That’s a different issue. It seems the update didn’t complete on your site. This should be resolved if you delete the Jetpack plugin, and then install it again manually.

Could you try to log in to your site via FTP or CPanel, delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder? You’ll find the Jetpack plugin folder here:

    wp-content
       plugins
         jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER

If you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting company for help. They should also have documentation explaining how to edit or remove files from your site using FTP or a File Manager in your admin panel.

Once you’ve deleted the Jetpack plugin, you can reinstall the plugin manually as explained here:

We’ve now released Jetpack 4.4.1 to solve this issue. Let me know if you still experience issues after updating!

    Thanks Jeremy
No mysteries in server or WP file setups, so it is done.
Jetpack installed first time from the Add New dashboard option once the folder was deleted.
Up and running perfectly, with no apparent loss of settings on 4.4.1.

    Thanks for your help.
