    This error appeared today when I tried to enrol a student in one of my courses. Before this, all was working fine. I tried to back up the site before updating to a new version of WP (5.1), but but the backup and import does not work, so I am not sure if it is the LMS, or something else.
    I tried to enrol the student through the edit on the course page, but it did not show the student list.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • @theartfuldodger,

    Could you post the text of the error message that appeared today as well as a copy of your system report: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-to-use-the-lifterlms-system-report/

    Thanks,

    Thread Starter TheArtfulDodger

    1st error is ‘Internal server error’ when trying to create access plan (they have been reset)
    2nd error is ‘results could not be loaded’ when trying to enrol a student onto a course.

    Unfortunately it’s nearly impossible to debug a 500 Internal Server error without the actual error message that caused it.

    If you enable error logging and reporting we may see a more helpful error message which could help us identify the source of the issue.

    You can enable that by following these steps: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-to-debug-a-white-screen/

    Since one of these is happening during an ajax request you’re probably not going to see anything other than the internal server error. You’ll have to check your debug.log file to find the error.

    After you have that let me know and I’ll see what I can figure out.

    Thanks,

    This also appeared at the same time (roughly) on my Wordfence plugin.

    I have several sites all running Wordfence, all on the same hosting company, on shared servers I believe, and all of the other plugins are working fine. I am also running LMS on another website hosted by the same company and that is working fine.

    hope this helps.

    I have added the debug code to my wp-config.php file with the ‘true’ & ‘log’ what should I do to generate errors? I have created a debug.log file(there was not one there before).

    @theartfuldodge,

    I have several sites all running Wordfence, all on the same hosting company, on shared servers I believe, and all of the other plugins are working fine. I am also running LMS on another website hosted by the same company and that is working fine.

    Are there any differences in your plugin / theme stacks between the working and non-working sites?

    I have added the debug code to my wp-config.php file with the ‘true’ & ‘log’ what should I do to generate errors? I have created a debug.log file(there was not one there before).

    Just take the steps to cause the error to happen. After you get the error again the error should be recorded in the debug.log file.

    Finally, I see you are an active subscriber with access to premium email support at https://lifterlms.com/my-account/my-tickets — you’re free to do as you like but it’s so much easier for us to debug issues like this via support tickets where we can share credentials and more information instead of posting back and forth here. We also only check the support forums here a few times a week. Our support team works nearly round the clock and I promise a faster response time via email support.

    If you want to open a ticket and reference this thread we can take a look around your admin panel and may be able to get this solved more quickly than we’re doing here.

    Hi,
    I managed to fix it. Although I replicated the site and found no problems, it seems there is an issue with the Easy Updates Manager plugin. Although i works in the replicated site, I noticed some strange behaviour when I tried to alter some update functions.
    (I updated to 5.1, successfully), but the update manager plugin hung when trying to select option for updates to major and minor releases.
    I disabled it, and the site works, but I also reenabled it and now the site is working as before.
    I will keep an eye on it for now.

    Thanks.

    That’s not the email address I see associated with the domain name used there. Check your email and reach via our contact form at https://lifterlms.com/contact if you’d like to get that situated.

    For (I hope obvious reasons) I cannot post customer information here so I won’t endeavor to help get that resolved via a public form.

    I do have a site activation with the domain name you posted above. I’m assuming it’s you that did that.

    This error has been caused by GP Premium plugin.

    I hope this video can help you solve the issue.

    @theartfuldodger

    Have you contacted Generate Press about this issue? As you’re seeing errors reported FROM Generate Press there’s not much in the way of a resolution I’m going to be able to provide you with here.

    If they determine that this is somehow actually caused by LifterLMS could you let me know?
