    Hello, I have been facing this issue for a while, It used to happen when I left the WordPress Admin not logged into for 4+ days [not making any editing on my site]

    ERROR: >>>When a desktop visitor >>>lands on my website page >>>the expanded mobile menu first loads briefly and >>>disappears after some seconds[This also appears on reloading the page]

    It used to disappear immediately after purging/deleting the cache

    And used to only affect the home page only but not other pages

    • But now, the error is affecting all pages
    • It usually affects pages/posts that get high traffic/many visitors
    • Even if I delete the cache, the error remains for some time
    • The error then disappears[for like 2 hours] and reappears[for like 20 minutes] suddenly
    • Some times the error does not reappear on some pages
    • This makes it difficult for support to see the error on a live page because by the moment you reply to the support, the error might have disappeared and reappers after.

    @nakobus I have visited the homepage and a few pages on desktop and went back to some pages I visited.
    For me the site was looking ok, I see a main menu(items one after the other)with a blue-ish background.

    As I told you :

    But this usually happens when a page gets high traffic and newly added pages/posts, And you can not immediately notice this because you take some hours to reply yet this is affecting website visitors at that time.

    AS YOU CAN SEE, IT IS THE DESKTOP MENU EXPANDING [Ideally not the mobile menu]

    At, this time the error has disappered but I am sure you had not inspecteed the page.

    But I tried to explain every thing in the details above, This error only happens if Litespeed cache plugin is active and goes away if Litespeed cache plugin is deactivated.

    I contacted Astra theme and they informed me that the cause is Litespeed cache plugin.

    IF YOU DON’T SEE THE ERROR BY TYHE TIME YOU VISIT THE PAGES, It doesnot mean that the error doesnot happen.

    This is a very serious error, So please provide assistance based on the information I have given you

    I see. I have tested incognito too, with network throttling(to slow 4G) and browser cache disabled.

    I cannot see the behaviour from you video. I see the menu arranged, as it should be, from the first render.

    I do not know, what evidence you want to see other than what I have given you, By the time I posted the message with the ” link ” I tested the link on 6 computers and the error was happening.

    I do not know if you really read what I write, I already informed you that the error lasts for some 20 minutes and disappaers.

    I really do not find any reason as to why you must first see the error to provide support yet I have provided every thing to you including how the error happens. [Including that the error only happrns if Litespeed cache plugin is active]

    Please inform me if you’ll not help me other than repeating the same information I send you

    It is as if you think am just wasting my time reporting this issue?

    no no , we understand that you have a problem , but the thing is we need to find a way to reproduce the issue , so we can check some css code , or html source code ,, or something when the issue present , otherwise it will be hard to investigate

    when that happens, please try grab the HTML source code , and compare it against the html source code when it behaves normally , you can use this site to compare https://www.diffchecker.com/

    The error re-occured and I saved its HTML , I then cleared the cache and recorded the error-free page HTML.

    The error disappers when the cache is cleared but please “Do not advise that as a solution” because I can not delete cache every 10 minutes yet I have over 350 pages to be cached on my site.

    if you save both source code into file , name like it error.html and error-free.html , open these 2 files directly in browser, do they show correctly ?

    I checked both source codes on “offline chrome broswer” and no error was shown. Both html pages were loading normally.

    so looks like the source code is okay , then only possibility is the external files , this one will be bit of harder to check

    this kind of behavior is usually CSS related , so you will need to use browser’s developer tool to grab all the CSS files and its content , and do compare , see if any files is different , or missing or other unusual situation.

    According to my check in various support threads, It is evident that “Litespeed Cache plugin – CSS and JS optimisations” are usually conflicting eith Astra theme menu display and affecting its functionality.

    I hope, you really mistake the “menu error” to be an overall “page error”

    In some cases, widgets, footers or menu errors can not be detected in full page CSS or HTMLs source codes.

    I am sure the issue of “menu errors due to Litespeed cache is common and known” because many complaints have been raised about it. And many CSS and JS settings have been suggested in such support tickets.

    But surprisingly, you have not even suggested a single fix to try out.

    Atleast try to suggest some “exclusions I can add to CSS and JS settings to exclude Astra menu” from being affected by CSS or JS errors.

    PLEASE SUGGEST A FIX TO TRY OUT, Other than keeping on testing every time.

    Because, if CSS or JS optimisations may be affecting Astra menu displays, May you provide exclusions or settings I can do to exclude Astra theme menu CSS/JS from being optimised by Litespeed cache.

    I was trying to determine what broken , like which option that breaks it , so we can know what to exclude or disable.

    what really puzzles me is that , if it’s caused by JS/CSS optimization , it should happen constantly , this randomness and inconstancy make it hard to determine

    if you want to try the excluding approach , I’d suggest try put ast as string to JS/CSS exclude fields in Page Optm -> Tuning -> JS Excludes and Tuning – CSS -> CSS Excludes

    this should exclude all the Astra related JS/CSS , see if it works in this way , if so , then we can further narrow down the excluding range.

    Yes, It worked well. But I deleted it after because it impacted my site speed because it was targeting the entire “Astra files”

    So, I think you can suggest ways to “narrow down the excluding range”

    The error today re-ocurred on another page. When I added “ast” string exclusion in CSS settings, It did not work.

    Also clearing CSS/JS cache does not solve the problem

    The only solution is clearing page cache.

    Is there a way to exclude “Astra theme Menu String” from Being cached?
