Tried the plugin in localhost/locally and when optimizing all the images it returns the following error:

An unknown error occurred while converting the images: ["G:/****/www/otzerling/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/White-Simple-Empowerment-Keynote-Presentation.png","G:/****/www/otzerling/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/White-Simple-Empowerment-Keynote-Presentation-150x150.png","G:/****/www/otzerling/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/White-Simple-Empowerment-Keynote-Presentation-650x366.png","G:/****/www/otzerling/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/White-Simple-Empowerment-Keynote-Presentation-768x432.png","G:/****/www/otzerling/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/White-Simple-Empowerment-Keynote-Presentation-1024x576.png","G:/****/www/otzerling/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/White-Simple-Empowerment-Keynote-Presentation-100x100.png","G:/****/www/otzerling/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/White-Simple-Empowerment-Keynote-Presentation-325x183.png"]

  • my website is a live website. we are hosting on godaddy. our server package is their top of the line package before going to a dedicated server. i don’t think it is a server issue. we have another site on the server and this plugin worked great there. we don’t have other plugins that would conflict. the error message is unknown so how can i troubleshoot? others had the same issue and probably just paid for smush or similar. this plugin was exciting because it does one thing and payment is optional. you get what you pay for but this developer seems great. I love the responsiveness! what is my next step to resolve this?

@starkmarketing, please download the latest version (v1.3.0) of the plugin and download me exactly what error message you have.

i believe i figured it out. luckily. i noticed under server config that the auto_prepend_file was
    /home/dkfldfafdklad/public_html/mywebsite.com/wordfence-waf.php

i went to deactivate wordfence and found that wordfence plugin was completely missing! i always add wordfence to my sites right away so this was strange. i installed, activated and configured wordfence and now your plugin is working!

will change my wordpress password asap!

I’m glad you were able to solve the problem. Unfortunately, as I said – most problems result from the wrong configuration of the server or plugins that block the operation of others.
