Error on Activation

    As above, getting the same. It appears on the “WP-Cron Events” page at …/wp-admin/tools.php?page=crontrol_admin_manage_page as:

    “There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was:
    Failure when receiving data from the peer“

    This is a new installation of WP Crontrol.
    WordPress version: 4.4
    WP Crontrol Version 1.3
    Linux server.
    Server version: 5.5.33 – MySQL Community Server (GPL)
    Apache/2.4.16 (Unix)
    Database client version: libmysql – 5.5.45

    As per the sticky thread in this forum, I’m unable to provide support for problems with WP-Cron itself.

    You should post a support thread to the main WordPress support forum instead, where your issue is much more likely to be seen and replied to.
