Error on Activation

    Hi, I just uploaded and attempted to activate the Testimonials Plugin (2.16.5) and recieved the following error:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting ‘)’ in /home2/rhuber/public_html/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/lib/aihrus/class-aihrus-common.php on line 88

    Any ideas what this might be?
