    Hello,

    An error message saying
    Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/customer/www/theroadreel.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect/lib/Cleantalk/ApbctWP/Helper.php on line 93
    appears on my homepage and a few random posts.

    Also, on WP Cleantalk dashboard there is another error message, please see below:

    2021-03-11 16:35:19: Error occurred while updating SpamFireWall local base. Error: WRONG_SITE_RESPONSE ACTION: https://www.theroadreel.com RESPONSE: Array ( [0] => <html><head><script data-ezscrex=’false’ data-cfasync=’false’ data-pagespeed-no-defer>var __ez=__ez||{};__ez.stms=Date.now();__ez.evt={};__ez.script={};__ez.ck=__ez.ck||{};__ez.template={};__ez.template.isOrig=false;__ez.queue=(function(){var count=0,incr=0,items=[],timeDelayFired=false,hpItems=[],lpItems=[],allowLoad=true;var obj={func:function(name,funcName,parameters,isBlock,

    Kindly advise how to solve this. Please as simple as possible as I am not a programmer, so I can understand the steps to take to fix this (in case I have to do something at all?)

    Thank you

    Hello, @theroadreel

    Thank you for the feedback!

    Could you, please, try to install the dev version of the plugin? ( Download link: https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/releases/download/dev-version/cleantalk-spam-protect.zip )

    Here is an instruction:

    1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
    2. Find the plugin “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
    3. After the automatic page refresh find the plugin again “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
    5. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
    4. Download the plugin archive from the link above.
    6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.
    7. Press CTRL + F5 to clear cache once you on the page with the problem.

    Did it help?

    Hello, @amagsumov

    Thank you for your prompt response. I have opened my website today, and the Warning on the front end of the website was gone. Talking about the one below:

    Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/customer/www/theroadreel.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect/lib/Cleantalk/ApbctWP/Helper.php on line 93

    However, the error message on WP dashboard Cleantalk plugin settings page is still there. So I tried your suggested method, but it didn’t help to remove the Error message from WP dashboard. I updated Cleantalk plugin to its latest version.
    Error message on WP Cleantalk setting page still says:
    2021-03-13 16:22:56: Error occurred while updating SpamFireWall local base. Error: WRONG_SITE_RESPONSE ACTION: https://www.theroadreel.com RESPONSE: Array ( [0] => <html><head><script data-ezscrex=’false’ data-cfasync=’false’ data-pagespeed-no-defer>var __ez=__ez||{};__ez.stms=Date.now();__ez.evt={};__ez.script={};__ez.ck=__ez.ck||{};__ez.template={};__ez.template.isOrig=false;__ez.queue=(function(){var count=0,incr=0,items=[],timeDelayFired=false,hpItems=[],lpItems=[],allowLoad=true;var obj={func:function(name,funcName,parameters,isBlock,

    Not sure how it affects the website performance. I noticed that the Warning message appears after each WP plugin update. Not sure if that correlated with Clean talk plug in update as well.

    Hi,

    thank you for getting back to me. However, the error hasn’t disappeared from WP Cleantalk dashboard. I have installed your plugging from the link you shared. After doing so, WP also shows that there is a newer version available: 5.153.6. Therefore, I updated to the newer Cleantalk version again. Anf the same error is still there..

    Hello @theroadreel

    How is it going? Did the error disappear? Make synchronize once you install the dev-version.

    Waiting to hear from you!

    Hi @safronik

    I have tried downloading and installing through your link 3 times. Not sure if you are sending me the exact same thing? As it does not work. Please let me know what do you mean by “synchronize”?

    I see that a newer version of Cleantalk is available- tried that too but it didn’t work either.

    Thank you,
    Ausra
