    I tested this product yesterday, 28th January 2024, and created an item on our website to test. It worked at first, albeit a little flakey. I have just come to test to buy now button again, with no changes since yesterday, only for a PayPal error to pop up stating: “error occurred during PayPal checkout process”. Our PayPal account is active and live on the app – there should be NO errors, but there is – which would then lose every single sale. We have a PayPal business account, and need something reliable for our business. This is not it, and it fell down at the first hurdle.

    This plugin simply cannot be trusted, and needs to be rock solid. Imagine having this plug in installed, then ‘thinking’ it is working, you then go on holiday for 2 weeks, to come back and it was just broken – you’d have lost an absolute fortune.

    This is not the solution unfortunately.

    See here for what is happening, and like I said, it WAS working yesterday, and nothing has been changed:

    Pages also not showing up, which again, were working yesterday, with no changes:

    Thank you for reaching out to us. I just completed a test in my dev site running the latest version of the plugin 5.0.2. And it works for me. I used the following shortcodes for testing.

    Apples are great for your health.

    [wp_cart_button name="Apples" price="5.50"]

    ===============

    Bananas are also very good for your health.

    [wp_cart_button name="Bananas" price="4.50"]

    ===============

    Pears are very similar to apples for your health.

    [wp_cart_button name="Pears" price="3.50"]

    ===============

    Different sizes fruit for your health.

    [wp_cart_button name="type A hanging damper" price="300" shipping="10" var1="wr|3-5kg|4-8kg|7-12kg"]

    ===============

    [show_wp_shopping_cart]

    I can confirm the plugin is working for me.

    Do you have any cache plugin running in your site or server? What permalink structure are you currently using in your site?

    You might also like to carry out the following instructions for testing and troubleshooting purposes.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply. It worked for me also when first trying, but not today. On the website I have Litespeed Cache, and permalink structure is:

    /%postname%/

    I’m very familiar with WordPress and Plugins have run busy websites for over 20 years, but all I’m getting with this plug in is errors, and I am running the latest version.

    It’s a shame, because if it worked seamlessly, it would be a good app, but if something works one day, then not the next, that is just too volatile for taking something as important as payments. We have a high turnover of £ with PayPal so it would need t work without issues.

    I understand your comment above.

    On the website I have Litespeed Cache

    Have you excluded the shopping cart page from getting cached?

    In rare cases, a conflict between plugins can cause transaction issues. Performing the following?plugin and theme conflict test?can be helpful. Can you also share the URL with the shopping cart?

    Thank you.

    Sorry to see that you had a bad experience. When there is some kind of conflict, it makes the result unpredictable. If in the future you want to try it on another site, you can reach out to us and we will do additional troubleshooting to try to figure out the conflict.
