My server was temporarily down due to a wider issue at hosting provider. Now I have an error message

Dec 14 2023 04:20:47: Error occurred while checking account status. cURL error 77: error setting certificate verify locations:

The issue has been resolved, but the error message does not go away and there is a RED ! in the WP dashboard. How to clear this error message?

    Hello,

Please, deactivate the plugin with the “Complete deactivation” option enabled and then activate it again.

    1. Enter the Antispam by Cleantalk plugin settings. (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk -> Advanced settings)
    2. Check the last settings “Complete deactivation” and save changes.
    3. Deactivate the plugin on the “Plugins” page in WordPress Dashboard.
    4. Then activate it.
    5. Proceed to the plugin’s settings. (See item 1.)

    Did it help?

The error message disappeared when my server activity was restored. I did not do anything.

BTW, there should be a simpler way to dismiss a warning message that your radically nuclear suggestion.

The ‘Complete deactivation’ helps to exclude any plugin-related issues. You can also try to press the ‘Synchronize with Cloud’ button (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk). It may help to fix some minor issues.
