Error moving website to local host

    I get the following error whenever I move my website to a local host:

    Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required ‘/home/smartsur/wpbuilderhelper.com/wordfence-waf.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php:/www/wp-content/pear’) in Unknown on line 0

    I have two factor authentication and I use an SSL using simple SSL. Can you tell me what the problem is?

    Sorry about the tardy reply.

    Before site migration, please deactivate Simple SSL plugin and completely uninstall Wordfence first. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

    Hi Nicolas,

    So I appreciate the solution provided. However, Wordfence and Simple SSL are part of my plugins. Now I can make a backup by manually making one.

    But if you are saying that then there is zero reason for anyone to use a scheduled backup as you scheduled backup will have these plugins running since it doesn’t make much sense to disable them?

    Any other solutions?

    Good news I was able to find a solution.

    Apparently when you are moving over the plugin Wordfence. It sometimes puts the wrong location for WAF in the user.ini file which points to a file path that exist on the server but not on a localhost. All you have to do is find the user.ini and delete all the information included and you will be able to log into the site with no problems.

    And that’s without deleting Wordfence or changing any settings in Really Simple SSL.

    Hi @forcedlogic,

    If you create backups including manual and scheduled backups, you don’t need to deactivate wordfence and simple SSL. However, in order to successfully complete the site migrate, we suggest to deactivate the security plugin before site migration.

    In addition, thank you so much for providing the solution for migrating a site installed wordfence.
