Error missing several files

    Hi,

    Firstly thank you for this great plugin !

    I have one message error from your plugin, where is missing several files…

    pngout: Missing
    webp: Missing
    Gmagick: Missing
    Imagick: Missing

    I tried to delete the plugin from WP admin and clear the cache, upload the zip file manually in my FTP, delete manually /wp-content/ewww/ & /wp-content/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/, try to change chmod but nothing work good !! The best way was to delete all manually but problems still here.

    Can you help me please ?

    GMagick and Imagick are irrelevant since you have both GD and native ImageMagick.

    So let’s focus on webp and pngout. The newer version of pngout doesn’t work on older servers. So, you can download the older version from here: https://static.jonof.id.au/dl/kenutils/pngout-20130221-linux-static.tar.gz

    If you don’t have anything to open a tar.gz file, you can use 7-zip to extract it. Then copy the x64 version to /home/myproject/www/wp-content/ewww/pngout-static

    If you upload via FTP, make sure you transfer in BIN (binary) mode, not text/ASCII.

    As far as webp support, it appears your server is not compatible with the bundled versions. That’s not unusual on a linux server, so check with your server admin (probably your webhost) to see if they can install webp for you.

    Thank you for all this explanations ! I tried your advices but nothing work… I have contacted the support of my webhost OVH to see what we can do to fix it !

    The issues with pngout and webp are more low-level than that. All the PHP stuff on your server is working just fine, since jpegtran, optipng, and gifsicle ARE working.

    See if they can tell you what distribution and version number of linux you are using. We’re not looking necessarily for the kernel version, but something like Ubuntu 14.04 or RHEL 5 or CentOS 6.
