Error message while comment and updating wordpress

  • Hi,
    The site name is https://www.indianpowersector.com and the theme i am using is graphene. There are few problems i am facing with the site, so please help me out.

    Got the message while trying to update the wordpress to 3.4.1

    “Warning: copy(/home/indianpo/public_html/index.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/indianpo/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 200

    Installation Failed”

    Also when Someone post a comment he get a message

    “Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_User::exists() in /home/indianpo/public_html/wp-comments-post.php on line 57”

  • Looks like there is a problem with your directory permissions? What are the defeault folder permissions on your folder? is it 755?

    I checked, the default folder permission is 755 and the files permission is 644.

    Hi sumitindit,

    Were you able to resolve the “WP_User::exists()”+ issue? Updating the folder and file permissions to 755 has not resolved the issue for us.
