• Hi,

I’m working on a staging version of my website. After having updated all plugins, I updated to WordPress 5.4 and PHP to 7.3 as well. I have not updated WP Bakery Page builder and visual composer in a while though (i am using version 5.5.2 when latest is 6.2)

the theme of the site has not been updated since 2017 but the website after the full updates didn’t break so i thought it was all working ok. I started editing some pages or creating new ones and I get this error message:

Warning: preg_match_all(): Compilation failed: invalid range in character class at offset 11 in /home/mywebsite/staging/7/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/autoload/hook-vc-grid.php on line 163

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/mywebsite/staging/7/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/autoload/hook-vc-grid.php:163) in /home/mywebsite/staging/7/wp-admin/post.php on line 231

How to fix it? help I am a newbie

Your js_composer plugin seems to be the error.

Access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and try deleting js_composer plugin.
