• The following error messages appear all over the browser window as soon as I activate the plugin, on every page, including the dashboard.
I contacted the hosting service and they told me to add FTP info to the wp-config, which I did, and re-install the plugin, which I also did. The problem remains. I need to fix this as soon as possible. Please help?

  • Dont know if this will help but i had a similar problem once. In your FTP client follow the directory it is giving and verify all the locations are there.

also what plug in are you using?

This particular plugin is WP e-commerce, but the same problem happened with other plugins I tried to install.

Take your FTP info out of wp-config.php unless you absolutely need it. It represents a potential security risk to your server. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

The hosting company told me to add ftp information in the config, which did not solve the problem.

When I deactivate the plugin, the problem vanishes. I activate and it comes back, so it is definitely the plugin .This is the only plugin I really need in the site right now. The other ones were alternatives I was trying, but the problem happens there too.

I will look into theme options but my partners simply love the one we are currently using.

I’ve changed themes, I tried everything down to uninstall and delete, and make a clean installation or WordPress and then the plugin.

    The problem persists.
The eCommerce support is non-existent. I’ve been trying for several days to get help through their forum. The only support they offer is for the Gold Cart plugin.

I wouldn’t mind paying for a premium version plugin but considering the absolute fiasco of the free version, and the lack of support for it, I can’t justify spending the money.
