    I’ve been playing around with plugins for event calendar and registration. I was using Events Manager with WP FullCalendar. Then I switched to WP Eventin and Woocommerce.

    I realized the first combo was more suitable and decided to deactivate and uninstall Eventin and Woocommerce. But then I started getting this error on the backend and frontend pages:

    “Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: quantifier does not follow a repeatable item at offset 1 in /home3/techvwat/public_html/newsite2022/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 231”

    When I install WP Eventin and Woocommerce again and even keep them deactivated, the error goes away.

    Can someone explain what the error message means and what I can do perhaps in the File Manager to get rid of it so I can hopefully delete those plugins for good?

    @webdes44 Sorry to know.
    We didn’t face this type of issue before. Or no report form other users.
    Can you please debug it by inactivating all plugins and activating them one by one.

    Can’t it possible to delete plugins from file manager or cpanel or FTP. More information or your debug update will help us to solve the issue.

    Regards.
