When using the plugin and trying to submit a payment, whether in text mode or live mode, I am getting the following error.

There was an error, but FirstData didn’t send back an error message.

I have an active feed with all fields mapped correctly. I have tried it both ways: first with all fields including address 2 and country in the form and then by removing address 2 and country from the form.

I do have the correct credentials from FirstData inserted in the gateway.

If there is anything you can do to help with this I would really appreciate it.

You are probably testing in a development environment? This has to be used on a live server for FirstData to make a connection back to the plugin. FirstData can’t connect with localhost, for instance.

Nope the site is live on a production server.

Im getting the same message in a live and development enviroment.

Can you please help us with this?

    Thanks in advance

Are you using a credit card field?

Yes, Im using the credit card field from gravity forms to display all the needed fields.

I have been reading on the first data site and I think that this problem might be because the connection needs the TCP port 1129 open in both ways?, apparently my host didnt have this open. I will change the host plan and I will see if it works there in case this is the problem.

    Thank you for your help.

The ports shouldn’t be the problem. Did you update to the latest version?

Hey, the plugin has been working pretty well for us so thank you. I do notice that it is not set to work on the newest versions of WordPress and wanted to see if you were going to be updating anytime soon?

The issue is much the same as before. People tried to submit a payment and when the card did not go through it gave this error: There was an error, but FirstData didn’t send back an error message.

Ironically, this time it is only affecting cards that are not valid. Shouldn’t there be a decline message that can be put there as opposed to this. This leads people to believe that something is wrong with the system and not their card.

    Any help is appreciated.

I just added https://github.com/aubreypwd/gravityforms-firstdata/issues/22, and you might want to checkout https://www.gofundme.com/gffde4

I’m trying to get funding to fix this plugin and release a new version.
