• Hello,

I am getting an error every time I try to send a form. I am not getting an error with a border color, forms are validated. The error message I get is the following: “There was an error submitting the form.”

This is the link to the form, if you all want to take a closer look:

  • Hello!

I have the same problem. Started with the update 7.4.6.
The reCatchpa form is not working under some conditions. Notably Internet Explorer running under Windows 7, some android browsers and more. Seems not to be any problems with Safari, Firefox or Chrome under MacOS nor iOS…

You can try to debug ajax request. You should open inspect in browser and try to find tab Network. It’s possible that some PHP Notice/Warning breaks AJAX response.

More info at https://mikejolley.com/2015/11/12/debugging-unexpected-token-in-woocommerce-2-4/ It’s for woocommerce checkout (but there are good instructions), but it’s same for all other requests.

It was my caching plugin that suddenly became incompatible with Contact 7 after the update. I’ve disabled caching for the contact page and it seems to work.

I am using WP Rocket. Too bad if you use a contact form on a page you desperately need to have cached.

I’m having the exact same issue. I have Contact Form 7 version 4.6 and Contact Form 7 reCaptcha Version 1.2.0. Any solutions, anyone?
