When I click on backup, I receive the next error message:

The plugin encountered an error during the restore process, the following error message was returned:
Error Message : The provided URL () is either not valid or empty

What I don’t understand is that I didn’t click on the restore from url button, but above error would suggest that I did. The only thing I can think of, that could be a problem for this plugin to work, is my Better wp security settings. Although I didn’t put the settings on the strongest restrictions.

If it would be helpful, I could set up a sandbox site for you to work with directly.

Really agree with Catnip216, great response! Thanks.

    Version: 2.1.4 with WordPress: 3.5.1

I do have a lot of plugins installed, including Woocommerce.

Sorry for the delay. I’m setting up a site right now, and will send the login info as soon as I am done.

So… I created the sandbox site, installed the plugin, tested to make sure it had the same problem… and it worked just fine.

    I’m sending the info anyhow.

The new site is a clone of one I was running on localhost (cloned with a plugin called Duplicator).

Another Rackspace Cloud Site that I also cloned from localhost also runs WP Clone correctly as well.

I’m going to delete the existing installation on the sandbox site, and re-install WordPress from scratch, to see if that recreates the scenario where WP Clone will not run.

(While Duplicator works well, there are some instances where I’d prefer the way WP Clone works, so I’m interested in helping to get this sorted ?? )

great thanks,by the way, were you asked to enter ftp details as well?

So its something with the server configuration?

    I was, yes.

Reintalled WP from scratch, installed WP Clone, and that resurfaced the problem. Hopefully that’ll help you get things figured out. ??
