    Hi,

I have installed this plugin on a dev site and it is showing an error message stating “The e-mail could not be sent.” after submitting a user email address or username.

I have my mail configured using the WP Mail SMTP plugin. The only settings I have changed in Front End Reset Password plugins settings are setting the Reset Password Page and adding the [reset_password] shortcode to the page. Please assist.

    Kind Regards,

    Costa

Hi mate thanks for getting in touch. I don’t work with the emails in localhost or similar environments precisely because of these problems. I’m not sure how you can resolve, however I can tell you the email is being sent in the plugin using the standard wp_mail() function.

Thanks for the prompt response. This was caused by an error in WP Mail (Probably occurred with the latest WordPress 5 update). I can confirm this is now working perfectly.

Wonderful thanks for keeping me posted. I tried setting up SMTP on my localhost setup and just gave up.
