Error message on sitemap

error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document

below the error message is nothing.

The first line is empty, perhaps this is the problem.

Is it possible to delete the first line of the generated sitemap.xml automatically in case it is empty? This problem happend a lot of time, i checked google.

Same problem for me… last version but cannot generate xml properly.
Please help… could not be this way so much time.

That is the problem exactly.

Check your theme funcions.php

Erase any line return or space at the end of the file….

That fixed my problem.

i checked it but it do NOT fix the problem…

it would be easy to delete any characters or lines before the “<xml” inside the plugin. perhaps arne put this lince of code into this plugin.

after this nobody would have this problem any more…
