Error message: Matomo is being used, but is not configured in Complianz

    I am using the Complianz | GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent plugin with Matomo Analytics plugin.

    Matomo seems to be recording statistics fine but in the Complianz dashboard it says ‘Matomo is being used, but is not configured in Complianz.’

    I’ve been through the wizard several times but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.

    As Matomo seems to be measuring stats ok can this message be safely ignored?

    Hi again, I’ve had to take a break from this, but testing on another domain I’ve found that without consent Matomo cookies seem to be blocked initially but after a few clicks around the website Matomo cookies are being added for the website (using Chrome developer tools).

    I wanted to check that the last script you gave me is intended to use Matomo in cookie-less mode and if not is there a way to do this via the script please?

    So what I’m looking for is:

    • Matomo used cookie-less without consnet
    • Google Analytics and Matomo used with cookies if consent given.

    sounds like it’s working as you want it to? So no cookieless before consent, cookies after consent.

    You only need to check if cookieless tracking starts prior to consent, which probably with a URL parameter. Do you have a website I can check?

    The latest website I’m testing on is: https://staging.focusonrefugees.org/

    So on first arrival there’s a PHP session cookie and a Complianz cookie. If I click Deny, I’m hoping for no statistics cookies (so no Matomo cookies) but usually on the third website click I get a couple of Matomo cookie appearing (without consent) _pk_sess… and _pk_id…
