Some time ago I started seeing an error message instead of a graph on WP Dashboard.

    The error message is such:
“You called the draw() method with the wrong type of data rather than a DataTable or DataView”

As far as I googled, the problem is because multiple plugins ask some google JS to load.

Updated today to the latest version of the plugin with no luck.

Are there any suggestions what to do?

    Thanks!

  • Same issue for me on various clients websites. Looking for advice.

Disable all other plugins, test if the dashboard loads properly and enable them one by one until you find the one that conflicts with.

When you find the plugin, post its name here and I will test and see if there’s anything we can do (me or the other developer) to avoid the conflict.

    We’re getting the same error.

The only plugin that we recently installed was SendGrid, which posts some circular graphs on the dashboard too. Maybe it is the one to cause trouble…

We will have to wait for a quiet weekend night to do such test…

We are getting this message as well. The conflicting appears to be:

    Follow-Up Emails by WooThemes

@pthpndr I’ll have a look and see what can be done, thanks for the heads up!

OK – So if I disable woocommerce the dashboard works but I get the error when woocommerce is activated – I can’t live without woocommerce – is there a fix for this issue coming anytime soon??

@hophead99 it’s not a conflict with WooCommerce, because WooCommerce itself doesn’t rely on Visualization API at all (as far as I know). It’s an extension of WooCommerce causing the problem. Try to disable extensions that are using charts to identify the culprit.

@pthpndr I’ve sent an email to the developers of Follow-Up Emails, describing the issue and giving them possible solutions to avoid the conflict. Hopefully they will fix it. If there was something I could fix, I would, but unfortunately there isn’t.

@alin, thanks for looking into this.

@alin Marcu, just wanted to let you know Follow-Up Emails released an update today and it took care of this problem for me. Thanks again for your help.
