I have created a WP Blog with All in One WP Security & Firewall to a good friend and have now received the following question from her:

“I’m getting a message “Would you like All In One WP Security & Firewall to re-insert the security rules in your .htaccess file that were cleared when you deactivated the plugin?” When I comment on a comment, and while others comments are GDPR Accepted. However, ny comments will not be GDPR accepterd.”

I have looked around in the settings for All in One WP Security & Firewall but will not be wise on what is meant, even less on what needs to be done. What do I have to do?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

When I comment on a comment, and while others comments are GDPR Accepted. However, ny comments will not be GDPR accepterd.”

Are you asking if replying to a comment in your site is GDPR compliant?

I am asking what to do with this message:

“Would you like All In One WP Security & Firewall to re-insert the security rules in your .htaccess file that were cleared when you deactivated the plugin?”

I have not taken any security rules away. Is it important to “re-insert” them and if so how do I do that.

Hi, sorry for misunderstanding your original question.

“Would you like All In One WP Security & Firewall to re-insert the security rules in your .htaccess file that were cleared when you deactivated the plugin?”

The message is asking you if you wish to enable the previous settings. This message appears because the plugin was disabled. It is up to you to enable the previous settings or not.

If you say yes, the plugin will enable automatically the previous settings “Rules”. If you say no, then you have to start from scratch to enable any of the features in the plugin you want to enable for your site.

Let me know if you need more information or help.

    Kind regards
