• Hi,

I′ve marked the “Allow customers to create an account during checkout” option in woo settings.

At checkout page, it’s asking to create a password. But at the validation of the order i have an error message “Creating an account password is mandatory”, while the password is re-entered.

  • Hi @neljaabaya,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Looking at the shared screenshots, it seems like there might be a conflict with either a plugin or your theme that’s causing the error message to appear even after re-entering the password.

Here’s what I suggest troubleshooting the issue further:

    1. Temporarily switch to a default theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four and see if the issue persists. If it doesn’t, the problem lies with your theme, and you’ll need to contact the theme developer for assistance.

    2. If the issue continues with a default theme, try deactivating all your plugins except for WooCommerce. If this resolves the issue, reactivate each plugin one by one until you find the one causing the conflict.

Please be sure to make a full site backup before proceeding with the steps.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your answer.

I tried to change the theme and desactivate all plugin but the issue is always there.

    Hey, @neljaabaya!

Thanks for trying! To confirm, only WooCommerce was active when you tried, correct?

I noticed your payment method is on test mode, so I tried to run a test order to check the error.

I was not able to complete the order, but the error I got was different. It keeps saying I need to fill the billing details and choose the shipping method, which I did.

From what I can see your website is not currently on a default theme and with plugins deactivated, correct?

Are you able to create a staging site and have only WooCommerce active with the Storefront theme so we can continue to troubleshoot this?
You can add cash on delivery as an option so we can run test orders there ??

You can ask your host if they offer this service, or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hello,

I created a staging site (https://nelflow.com/nelflow_bis) and have only WooCommerce active with the Storefront theme.

What is the next step to try to solve this issue please?

    Thank you

    Hi @neljaabaya ??

While the page at https://nelflow.com/mon-compte/ exists, for someone to create or connect to their account, the same is not true for the page at https://nelflow.com/nelflow_bis/mon-compte/, where a 404 error is returned instead.

As a next step, while always at the staging site, best to go ahead with making sure all the WooCommerce are configured as required, and see if the issue persists there, or otherwise.
Documentation linked here, for your convenience.

Then, kindly provide us with a screenshot, so that we can see what the WooCommerce pages settings look like, on your end.

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, https://snipboard.io is a good option – for uploading it there, and sharing the link here afterward.
There is also a walkthrough guide here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

I trust that points you in the right direction. Let us know how it goes, and if you have more questions.

    We’re happy to help.
