Error message – can't log-on to site!

  • I can’t log-on to my site! The error message is:
    Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in /home/boxfit/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-popup/wppopupincludes/classes/wppopuppublic.php on line 51 and defined in /home/boxfit/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 990

    I understand what it is and am trying to log-in to rectify it but it won’t allow me. The error message just appears!

    Can anyone help please?

  • Just delete wp-popup and see if it does anything.

    Thanks johnfotios. But it won’t allow me to get into the back-end for me to delete it. It just shows the error message.

    Do you have access to the directories of your website? The folders and files.

    No I don’t. An external company set up the website for me, can I get access through them?

    Could you ask them for the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) credentials?

    I will, thank you! I can delete the pop up from within that then correct?

    With your FTP credentials, you can access your files and folders of your website. Then you just need to delete the plugin’s folder from within the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
