]]>While trying to follow your second suggestion above, and looking around in the file manager for this site on Network Solutions, I discovered that there were two wp-config.php files in different locations (I guess haven’t done the greatest job keeping this thing organized).
I inserted the line (giving an expanded memory instruction) you recommended in your first advice into that file – and it worked!
