    After updating WordPress to version 5.5 and Yoast SEO to version 14.8.1 (same error with version 14.8) I couldn’t access any backend editing page, for example the Post editing page.

    I think the error is somehow related to the “SEO Title” column, so any page where this column is present doesn’t work. By “it doesn’t work” I mean that when I go to that page I see the plain HTML source code of the page, truncated at the “SEO Title” column output.

    The error reported at the bottom of the HTML source code is:
    {"type":16384,"message":"The \"WPSEO_Replace_Vars\" service is private, getting it from the container is deprecated since Symfony 3.2 and will fail in 4.0. You should either make the service public, or stop using the container directly and use dependency injection instead.","file":"\/opt\/bitnami\/apps\/wordpress\/htdocs\/**redacted**\/wp-content\/plugins\/wordpress-seo\/vendor_prefixed\/symfony\/dependency-injection\/Container.php","line":251}

    I temporarily solved the problem by editing the file mentioned above and commenting out the if block present at line 251.

    Can you please help me solve this issue in a more adequate way?

    Thank you,
    Andrea

  • Hey @rs1project,

    Thank you for creating this topic. We are sorry you are experiencing this.

    This warning/notification you get is on our end which will be solved in an upcoming release. However, the error you get next is probably caused by an error handler. We do know by now that Elementor 3.0 is causing a lot of issues at this time. Do you happen to be running Elementor? If so, the issue will be fixed in their upcoming release. You can see the issue here: https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues/12219
    Hope this explains.

    Hi.

    We’re also seeing the same PHP warnings, although we are not using Elementor.

    Hi @amaranth2000,

    Thank you for chiming in here. However, we would encourage you to open up a new topic with as much information as possible so we can help you out.

    First off, please make sure to run our latest version 14.9 to see if you still experience the issue. If not, feel free to open up a new topic. Thank you.

    Ok no problem. I’ll open a new topic. Just checked and there is no update past 14.8. We use The premium version and WP 5.5.1
