• Hi,

I just transferred my hosting and domain to SiteGround. However, I now get an error message like this:

Warning: Parameter 2 to wp_hide_post_Public::query_posts_join() expected to be a reference, value given in /home/customer/www/utterlycynthia.com/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 288

I removed the Hide Post plugin, but keep getting this message. What should I do?

    Thanks for any help.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hey @utterlycynthia

The WP Hide Post plugin hasn’t been updated last 3 years and I don’t recommend using it.

The issue is that on our servers, the default PHP version is 7.3 and the plugin is not compatible with it. When I change the PHP version to 7.0, the notices disappear, but I don’t recommend you to change your account PHP version, because it will slow down your site. Maybe check for a plugin alternative.

    Regards,
    Stanimir
