Error Message

  • After attempting to download a new theme, I’ve run into several problems. I’ve since deleted the theme, but now, I’m getting this error message: “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete! Please notify the site administrator.” I was using the latest version of WordPress right before the download. It’s only been a couple weeks.

    First, I am the site administrator. Don’t let that message fool you. Second, how do I fix this? And feel free to talk to me like I’m two. Chances are, I won’t know what you’re talking about anyway. So when telling me how to fix this, please break it down for me. ??

    I greatly appreciate your help!

  • Hi, drose89, & welcome. Could you please provide a site url? Can you log into your WordPress dashboard or not? Did you delete or just deactivate the theme?

    Sorry for so many questions, but…

    An automated WordPress update has failed to complete! Please notify the site administrator.
    I too have this problem and my dashboard says 0 updates
