    read that post. your answer is there.

    DELETE before you UPLOAD.

    Its in the upgrade instructions for a reason.

    thing is i didnt upgrade, well not since the last time i used it anyway.

    I mean it was ok b4 but not now!

    the problem is clear, regardless of what you say youve done or not done — that fucntion was physically moved from 1 file to another during the making of 2.1. You have both files on your server, and you cannot define a function more than once.

    If your using 2.0.x then delete the core wp files (minus wp-config.php) and upload fresh 2.0.x files.

    If your using 2.1.x then delete the core wp files (minus wp-config.php) and upload fresh 2.1.x files.

    You cannot have a mashup of both versions, it will NOT work.
