• Does this plugin provide any type of error logging once an issue is found? I would love to recommend this plugin for my clients to use if they could provide me with logs of some sort. Thanks

Hi there, right now it just displays the culprit on screen after the troubleshooting session. In a future release, we will be adding the ability to email those results to a developer or support team. We would include server details, phone version, other active plugins, the conflict we detected during the troubleshooting session, etc. Is there any other particular info that would be helpful for you to get from clients?

Also, if Plugin Detective is installed on your client sites, if your client later installs/updates a plugin that causes a fatal error, you can quickly use Plugin Detective to get the site back online. You can access and run Plugin Detective directly, even if the main site is down ??

    Thanks,
    Nathan

No, seems like you guys should have it covered. Do you have a ballpark time frame for when those features might be added?
You’re plugin is great and I have had clients use it to fix their issues when I wasn’t available to look into them personally. It has been a great help so far. Keep up the great work!

I don’t see a way to find out what problem(s) was “fixed.” Is that not available yet?

    Thanks,
    JL

Hi @james377, we use your input to determine when the issue is “fixed” or “broken” – basically we are giving you a quick and consistent process to troubleshoot an issue (preferable to turning all plugins off and activating them one by one). So we don’t actually know what’s broken or the source of the issue, we can just identify the problematic plugin. A developer would need to look into the issue specifically to tell you how/why it broke and how to fix it (beyond just deactivating the plugin)

    Thanks,
    Nathan

    Ok, thanks.
