• Hi There

I’ve been using this plugin for a few years and recently updated to the latest version 1.6.2 and it’s showing that the plugin requires to be reconfigured?

    “Error Log Monitor setup
To start logging errors you’ll need to make a few changes to the WordPress configuration.”

Nothing has changed and haven’t received this message in the past for previous updates

That message is new in 1.6.2, but it’s supposed to only show up if error logging isn’t enabled.

Do you have logging turned on and is the log file accessible? Even if it was working before, there’s a chance the PHP configuration might have changed due to a server update or something like that. Do any errors/warnings/notices show up in the dashboard widget?

    Hi Janis

    Thanks for your quick reply.

Everything is as it was before error logging was enabled before the plugin update. No errors or warnings on dashboard other than I need to reconfigure the plugin after the update which is annoying.

I’ll carry out the reconfiguration but thought you should be aware of this.

    Kind Regards
    Louise

If logging was already enabled then the message might be showing up due to some kind of a previously unknown bug in the plugin. Please be careful with the reconfiguration. If anything goes wrong, you can usually undo the changes by removing the logging-related code that the plugin gives you from your wp-config.php.
