• I’m having heaps of problems tracing down issues with my Contact Form that have recently cropped up. I suspect the issue is with Litespeed Cache and/or Quic.cloud CDN service. I have been using both for a longtime with no problem, but when testing my page and from various locations around the world (via VPN), the form is failing. In some cases it just says there is an error – in others I see the spinning dot and it just stalls forever.

Sometimes disabling the CDN fixes it, sometimes I have to disable LS cache entirely to get it working.

What would be really helpful is if I could see some kind of log from Contact Form 7 to find out what the problem is? Is there any sort of detailed debug logs when the form fails to submit?

The only other thing that I notice is that when it does fail the URL returns with the following appended

    #wpcf7-f2484-p24-o1

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

I’m using Burst Theme from Envato (which I know you have said is notorious), but we have used it for many years with no problems.

I have a number of other plugins like GeoIP and Wordfence.

However, I use Litespeed Cache and also their associated Quic.cloud CDN service. And that’s where the problem seems to occur. Only certain nodes on their CDN seem to have problems and it’s sporadic. I can connect to one node (e.g. Melbourne, Australia) and the form works fine, I connect to another node (e.g. Los Angeles) and I get the message that there was an Error sending a message and I see that tag appended to the return URL.

Then if I check the same node a few hours later, it might work again….then a few hours later and it doesn’t.

Disabling the Quic CDN seems to resolve the issue immediately though.

All of this is why I’m trying to see if I can get some more detailed logs from Contact Form 7 as to why/where the form is failing?

Looks like I get 409 errors from contact form plugin but ONLY when I’m connected to one CDN location (Los Angeles area) with Quic.Cloud.

That sort of suggests Quick might be the issue, but that’s why I’m looking for detailed logging to try and better understand what’s wrong so they can fix it?

This issue really seems to be tied to Recaptcha v3. If I disable recaptcha everything works. If I use recaptcha v3 with Quic CDN then the results are wildly inconsistent and I can’t find any pattern to the form failing.

@takayukister is there any way to get better logs or visibility or testing on recaptcha v3 causing problems? I think this is recaptcha, but I can’t tell for sure?

Are those 409 errors a sign of recaptcha failures?
