    Great!

It really seems to depend on each person’s WP install. Not always is this step needed.

My WordPress installation now also auto-updated itself (didn’t even know, this was possible on this installation) and now the JW player plugin doesn’t work anymore. It’s a shame because the whole blog ist pretty much my private video blog and every video stopped working. ??

These is as much as I know so far:

    – Since the update, all videos with shortcodes (via Media Manager, video hosted on Youtube) were broken because of the shortcode issue within the older plugin:
-> The preview image of the media gallery did not load anymore.
-> The error code was the usual “The video could not be loaded”.
-> The skin of the player was broken, too (not loaded anymore).

    – If I don’t use shortcodes and link to the file directly “[jwplayer file=…], it worked and still does.
-> Skin is still broken, though.
-> Example link of a video working: https://www.gipfelreisen.de/index.php/2015/08/07/samaria/

    – So far, installed was the JW Player WP plugin Version 1.4.2. until it stopped working.
-> Then I updated it to the version from GitHub (with the new JWShortcode.php), but this didn’t changed much: Instead of the error, the video player does not even appear AT ALL, now
-> Example link of a video not working under the current plugin version: https://www.gipfelreisen.de/index.php/2015/06/05/kompar/

    What’s more:

-> Setting the shortcode_filter to false didn’t help.
-> Upgrading to JWP6 didn’t help (have reverted since).
-> I realised that in the source code of the not working videos, it tells to load the player from the plugin directory from /player/player.swf. However, there is no player in this directory (and never has been, according to my backups). I guess, this is why no player is loaded. What’s going wrong?

Any ideas what I should do? Thanks!
