• I have been receiving this error when trying to view my site.

Searches of the net suggest this is a spam bot attack/hack.

Using this as a clue I looked for recent changes which might indicate malicious activity. A recent file has been changed:
    wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/addons/functions.php

Renaming this file functions.php.bak caused the site to come alive again, a miracle!

Have others seen this error recently. Is this a spam bot?

    Thanks,

    Wes

  • Thanks Wes! Ours was doing the same thing. I will check out this solution if I can ever get GoDaddy to cooperate! ??

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, I tried many, many files, but nothing worked. Still getting the error message. Anyone have any ideas?

I am having this exact problem!! Linux+cfcd208495d565ef66e7dff9f98764da+01+[[]]
I can’t access my wp-admin at all… I found a weird www file in my filezilla that i can’t seem to remove… if anyone has any suggestions please let me know! My website has been down and unaccessible for days and my host company won’t do a thing!

I am having the same issue and it has so far kept me from even being able to restore files to a previous state. I am also not getting an answer from the hosting company so any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

This is a spam bot attack . I had an an account at TNP HOST . When i contacted them they

    1. Did a separate virus scan of my account using maldetect . This removed 50 % of malicious files .
    2. Upgraded my wordpress to latest version .
    3.Locked few database tables .

Also , after this they asked me to remove any malicious file and plugins that can cause the issue .

If in case the file reappears , please note that you have a plugin installed to recreate this file again and again .

Change the passwords of mysql database and reinsert the details in your wp-config files .

My problem is solved with TNP HOST . Hostgator people dont reply to such problem .. This is unfortunate
