• Go here https://www.facebook.com/BenchmarkCO and take a look at the Facebook post titled: The Pros and Cons of a Larger Down Payment.

Notice the verbiage that follows the title under the picture: “Share0000000 or follow the link…”

This appears on every blog I post and I am trying to figure out what is causing it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi deanandbek,

Are you using a plugin for sharing to Facebook, or perhaps an SEO plugin of some kind?

It looks like you might have accidentally left that phrase in some default field for the Facebook Open Graph settings.

The phrase doesn’t appear in the body of your post, but I do see it in the Facebook meta tags when I look at the source code of your post, so we just need to narrow down where those tags are being generated from.

Let me know what you’re using, and we’ll take it from there.

    Best regards

First let’s try a few basic troubleshooting steps:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
resetting the plugins folder by FTP
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
