Error: invalid_scope

I’ve followed the Google API instructions, and it all seemed very straightforward. But when I try to upload pics from Google Drive, I get this error:

400. That’s an error.

Error: invalid_scope

You don’t have permission to access some scopes. Your project is trying to access scopes that need to go through the verification process. {invalid = [https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly]} If you need to use one of these scopes, submit a verification request.

Am I missing a step, some sort of verification process? Thanks so much!
